What is the Economic Disaster Recovery Program (EDRP)?
Due to the impact of wildfires, water restrictions and air quality advisories, businesses in the North Okanagan are suffering losses of revenue.
To support the recovery of local business impacted both directly and indirectly by these disasters, Community Futures North Okanagan has launched a project to deploy targeted supports, emergency financing and workshops for the local business community.
Who qualifies for the Economic Disaster Recovery Program (EDRP)?
Our EDRP is available to the following types of business located within the North Okanagan region (including Vernon, Armstrong, Spallumcheen, Enderby, and Coldstream):
- Small and medium-sized businesses
- Agricultural producers
- Non-profits organizations
You are eligible if your business has experienced:
- Direct impact (evacuation, closure, property damage)
- Indirect impact (sales decrease due to regional smoke, workforce disruption)
- Revenue Loss
- Out-of-Pocket Costs (cleanup expenses such as commercial duct cleaning, HEPA filtration, and ash removal) or uninsurable property damage, including agricultural fencing and crop loss)
