SUMMARY:Business Continuity Planning
DESCRIPTION:This webinar is in two parts. \n\nPart 1 – March 15 / 5:30-7pm\nPart 2 – March 16 / 5:30-7pm\n\n\n\nFind out what kind of risks your business faces in this rapidly changing world and steps you can take to prepare before the risks happens.\n\n\n What will be covered in the workshop? \nIn this workshop facilitator and British Columbia-based management consultant\, Colin O’Leary\, will walk attendees through the nuts and bolts of why businesses need to create a contingency plan and how to create one. By the end of the the second evening\, participants will have had the opportunity to complete a contingency plan that they can use in case of the unexpected. \nWhat is a Business Continuity Plan? \nA Business Continuity Plan is a plan that focuses on the ability of a business to prepare for and respond to unexpected disruptions. The goal of this plan is to protect employees and assets so that a business can continue to operate. \nWhy is it important? \nEmergencies and disasters are unavoidable and are happening more and more frequently in British Columbia and elsewhere. Although it is impossible to predict what will happen in the future\, it is possible to use the best available information now to make a plan to help reduce any negative impacts on your business. \nWell-prepared businesses have been proven to fare much better through and after a disaster because they have already considered the possible impacts to their business and developed strategies ahead of time for dealing with them. \n______________________________________________________________________________
