This workshop covers an overview of the basic obligations that employers have to their employees with the goal of helping participants steer clear of Employment Standards Complaints, Human Rights Complaints, Work Safe BC complaints and litigation.

This workshop is facilitated by guest speaker, Kelsey Robertson.
Kelsey Robertson is a lawyer with the Ukrainetz Workplace Law Group where she advises and represents employers on workplace-related matters including employment agreements, workplace policies, employment standards, discipline and performance management, as well as human rights, privacy and access law, and labour relations. Kelsey gives her clients a voice and offers innovative and practical solutions to resolve (and prevent) workplace disputes.
Kelsey has a law degree from the University of Alberta and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature, with honours, from the University of British Columbia. She developed her interest in advocacy (and creative solutions) while clerking for the Provincial Court of Alberta. Kelsey has appeared before all employment-related administrative tribunals in BC as well as the BC Supreme Court and Provincial Court.
