EMPLOYMENT RESOURCE CENTRES
Community Futures has two Employment Resources Centres – one for youth (under 30) called Connections Career Centre and one for adults (over 30) called the Employment Options Resource Centre, both located at 3105 33rd Street, Vernon. Both Centres provide self-serve services for anyone who wants to job search on their own.

Job Search Advisors are also available to help you access current labour market information, build résumés and search for work.
CAREER & EMPLOYMENT LIBRARY
Our libraries are divided into sections for Trades, Labour Market Information, Education and Scholarships,
Self-Employment and Career and Employment Directories.
We also have all the up-to-date information on feature industries, such as ski resorts, guest ranches, military and police forces, oil and gas, golf, retail, health care and more.
Help yourself to lists of employers in various sectors, and information on job searching and interview skills. If you need it, we have it - or, we can find it!
EMPLOYMENT COUNSELLING
Assisted services is where you can work one-to-one with an employment counsellor for help in achieving your
employment or education goals. The employment counsellor will give comprehensive case management services,
including a careful assessment of your needs and development of an individualized plan to support you in
your job search. Your employment counsellor can work directly with you to find out your career goals and
assist you in addressing any employment challenges.
As well, they are able to refer to any necessary community service providers, program or resources.
Employment counsellors work within each of the four employability dimensions which are: job search, career planning, skill enhancement and job maintenance.
