Working with small businesses and the financial community is central to the success of the Community Futures North Okanagan Loans Program. Lending to small business creates jobs, empowers entrepreneurs, and stimulates innovation. CF provides loans to businesses which require capital for ventures that create new jobs and contribute to the economy of the community.

A variety of lending types is available at CF including business start-up loans, seasonal business lending, working capital loans, and business expansion loans. Special loan funds have been designated for entrepreneurs with disabilities and youth entrepreneurs as CF tries to support all members of the community.

Lending criteria:

• start-up or existing businesses
• demonstrated viability through a business plan
• located in the North Okanagan
• competent management
• creates or maintains employment
• ability to repay
• reasonable personal investment
• provision of adequate security
